DOCG Riserva
Giuseppe Caggiano’s main act in terms of white wines: Vigna Isca – Fiano di Avelino DOCG Riserva. The town Taurasi, where Giuseppe’s cellars are located, is situated in the valley of the river Calore. Apart from areas where the Taurasi DOCG is grown, the Calore valley has two other DOCG areas where white wines are cultivated. Only in the region surrounding Taurasi it is possible to cultivate all three appellations: Taurasi DOCG, Fiano di Avellino DOCG and Greco di Tufo DOCG.

Fiano from Lapio
Giuseppe grows his Fiano grapes near the small town of Lapio, a neighboring village a few kilometers from Taurasi. Only the best Fiano grapes from the best part of Giuseppe vineyards are hand selected and used to make this exceptional Riserva.
Maturation in oak barrique
After harvesting in mid-October, the grapes are cold-pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks and Barrique oak casks of 225L. Subsequently, part of the wine is aged for 12 months in tank and another part is aged in oak. Depending on the resulting maturation Giuseppe decides on the exact proportion of oak and tank ripened.
Complex flower aromas with long balanced finish
The result is a fantastic wine with complex aromas of flowers, dried fruits, and hints of spices. The taste of this golden-yellow wine is full, complex, and balanced with a strong and persistent finish. This Fiano is ideal to combine with rich fish dishes, white meat and poultry.
